The nature of our business means that we require some of your personal data in order to provide you with information about our applied research, AI models, and infrastructure. Ithoka’s Privacy Principles

We are committed to protecting your information and acting in accordance with your privacy rights under Kenyan law. Ithoka Microsystems will in all instances:

  • Process your Personal Data in a manner that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data.
  • Process your Personal Data lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner.
  • Collect your Personal Data for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes (such as API integration, model deployment, or enterprise consulting) and not further use it in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.
  • Process your Personal Data in an adequate, relevant, and limited way to what is necessary for our purposes (Data Minimization).
  • Keep your Personal Data up to date and take reasonable steps to update or delete any inaccurate, out-dated, or incorrect Personal Data.
  • Not store your Personal Data for longer than is necessary.
  • Process your Personal Data in a manner that respects your rights as a Data Subject.
  • Deploy robust cryptographic and organizational measures (including zero-trust enclaves) to protect your Personal Data against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.
  • Only transfer your Personal Data outside the borders of Kenya when adequate legal controls and safeguards are in place, in accordance with Section 48 of the Data Protection Act, 2019.

If you reside in Kenya and remain dissatisfied with our resolution, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
